The inHealth: Wellbeing app gives you convenient access to your company’s wellbeing program, the tools to track your health, and a library of resources for all the dimensions of wellbeing and care conditions.

Sync your Health Tracking data!

Did you know that you don’t need a smartwatch or fitness band to track your steps?

You can always manually log your daily step count in the inHealth wellbeing portal, but if you have the wellbeing app for iOS or Android and use Apple Health or Google Fit, you can connect your iPhone, Android, fitness tracker, or smartwatch and make sure every step counts using the inHealth Wellbeing app!

Your smartphone can automatically track how many steps you take and the distance you walk. It’s simpler than you might think! Just remember to carry your phone with you throughout the day for accurate readings.

You can also automatically sync data from your smartphone health app for activity and distance.

Follow these steps to connect your device:

The Apple Health app comes pre-installed on iOS 8 and newer devices. Re-install this app if you have deleted it and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your health profile by entering your details like name, date of birth, sex, and other relevant information.

  • Tap on your profile picture or icon in the top right corner of the screen, scroll down, and select ‘Apps and Services’ under ‘Privacy.’
  • Scroll through the list of apps and select the inHealth app.
  • You will see a list of data categories (e.g., Steps, Workouts, Walking + Running Distance, etc.). Toggle the switches next to the data categories you want to share with the inHealth app to enable them. You can choose to share all data or specific data types.
  • Go to ‘Settings’ on your iPhone and scroll down and tap ‘Privacy & Security.’
  • Under ‘Privacy & Security’ settings, scroll down and select ‘Motion & Fitness.’
  • Toggle on ‘Fitness Tracking.” Apps that have requested access to your motion and fitness activity will appear. Make sure the Health app is toggled on to allow Fitness Tracking.
  • Download ‘Google Fit’ from the Google Play Store if it’s not already on your phone.
  • Open the ‘Google Fit’ app.
  • Sign in with your Google account.
  • Follow the setup instructions.
  • Your phone will automatically track your steps.
  • Open the ‘Google Fit’ app and tap ‘Profile’ at the bottom.
  • Tap ‘Settings’ (gear icon).
  • Under ‘Google Fit data,’ tap ‘Manage connected apps.’
  • Select and connect your device.

Here is how to automatically sync data from your smartphone health app for activity, distance, sleep, and weight in your inHealth Wellbeing app:

  • Log in to the inHealth app
  • Tap on the hamburger menu in the upper left of the screen and select Settings.
  • Under Settings, select Health Tracking Import Settings.
  • In the Auto Import Selector, select the health app from which you wish to import data.
  • Check the radio button to Remember This Decision
  • Click Continue.

By following these steps, you’ll be able to track your daily activities effortlessly. Whether using just your phone or connecting a device, staying informed about your fitness has never been easier!
